Our aim is to maximize our students’ success by creating an environment where they discover their potential. Our unit determines the appropriate methods and techniques for the behaviours we seek to gain our students. With the VEGA Schools Assessment and Program Development Unit, it is evaluated whether the knowledge and skills expected from students have been acquired and to what extent they have been acquired, depending on the curriculum. How should we teach? How much should we teach? Which technique should we use? How did we teach? How should we improve? How much has been learned? It is ensured that the program is constantly kept alive by seeking answers to such questions. Evaluation results are shared with the administration, teachers, parents and students. The focus is on success in a transparent structure.

Materials and tools are prepared to support the studies in the classrooms. Common written exam implementations and evaluations are applied by our unit in order to support and follow up education.

The effectiveness and efficiency of our students' learning process and products are extremely important to us. At the basis of our assessment and evaluation activities in our schools, there is a process and product oriented assessment and evaluation, not result-oriented.

Especially in kindergarten and primary school, student product files are the most important assesment and evaluation activity for us. In order to evaluate the academic success in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, there are studies planned to evaluate the learning products of our students instead of exams.

This situation also prevents our students from comparing negatively with each other. Naturally, assessment and evaluation activities at this level, support the personal development of students and increase the efficiency of the learning process.

It is important for us that our assessment and evaluation studies are applied with an objective way. In this context, our students are evaluated with pre-determined standard measurement tools.

In our schools, we have weekly HDS (Weekly Trial Exam) trial exams for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades at the primary school level, for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades at the middle school level and for the 9th, 10th, 11th grades at the high school level. ADS (Monthly Trial Exam) exams are applied after the HDS exams of each level are held in certain periods. Since our 8th graders are preparing for the LGS exam, a more intensive exam schedule is applied to them than other grades. Throughout 4 weeks, weekly trials are completed as HDS-SÖZEL in the first week and HDS-SAYISAL in the second week. Then, the LGS exam is applied for a monthly trial. In this way, we measure the performance of our students both on the basis of achievement and in general exams.
